Precautions

This medication contains lactose and should not be used by patients with genetic disorders that prevent proper digestion of lactose. It should also not be taken if there is an allergy to this medication or similar drugs. If difficulty in swallowing occurs, it is advisable to avoid use. Patients with unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain should use this medication with caution, as other conditions may be present. Patients with kidney disease should monitor blood calcium levels during use. If taking other medications, consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication, especially since antacids can interact with other medications. Rarely, allergic reactions or abnormal liver enzymes may occur with this medication. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, decreased appetite, and abdominal discomfort may also occur. Rashes or itching may develop on the skin, and severe skin reactions have been reported in rare cases. Symptoms such as headache, fatigue, joint pain, and muscle cramps may occur. If symptoms do not improve after two weeks of use, consider discontinuing use and consulting a professional to rule out other conditions. Long-term use beyond two weeks is not recommended. If an overdose occurs, immediately stop taking the medication and consult a professional. In patients on hemodialysis, the effectiveness may be reduced when used with phosphate binders, hence caution is needed. The antacid component of this medication may interact with various other medications, so if possible, maintain a gap of at least two hours between doses. Avoid concurrent use with other gastrointestinal medications as side effects may worsen. It is advisable for pregnant or potentially pregnant women not to use this medication, and for nursing mothers to avoid use since it can be transferred through breast milk. Children under 15 years should consult a doctor before use. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, stored away from direct sunlight, and kept in a cool, dry place. To maintain quality, avoid transferring to other containers.
