Relief of obesity, edema, constipation, and symptoms associated with hypertension (palpitations, flushing, etc.)
Patients may have excessive subcutaneous fat in the abdomen and suffer from constipation, along with symptoms related to high blood pressure such as palpitations, shoulder stiffness, and flushing. Additionally, symptoms of obesity and swelling may be present. These symptoms mainly require management related to high blood pressure, obesity, and constipation. Improvement of lifestyle is important alongside medication, and professional counseling and treatment can help with the improvement of each symptom. This medication is used for alleviating symptoms related to high blood pressure, obesity, swelling, and constipation.
The usual adult dose is 4 tablets per dose, 3 times daily before or between meals.
This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as some of its ingredients may cause uterine contractions, increasing the risk of preterm labor or miscarriage. Breastfeeding women should also avoid this medication, as its components can be transmitted through breast milk and cause diarrhea in infants. Patients with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should not use this medication, as it contains lactose, which may cause adverse reactions in these patients. Individuals allergic to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should not take this medication to avoid the risk of allergic reactions. It should not be taken with other laxatives, as this may worsen side effects. People with a history of hypertension, heart, or kidney disease should consult a professional before taking this medication, as it may worsen symptoms. Patients with edema, elderly individuals, or those taking other medications should also consult a doctor or pharmacist, as this medication may affect bodily functions. Patients experiencing diarrhea, gastrointestinal discomfort, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, etc., should consult a professional before taking it for safety. Patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, urinary disorders, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, or hyperlipidemia should exercise caution. Individuals who have previously had allergic reactions to this medication should avoid its use. If gastrointestinal disturbances, skin rashes, symptoms of autonomic nervous system dysfunction, urinary disorders, or abnormal liver function occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. If constipation symptoms do not improve, it is important to consult a professional after a certain period of use. Long-term use is not recommended, and if prolonged use is necessary, professional consultation is a must. This medication is an irritant laxative, and long-term use may lead to tolerance or worsening of constipation, so it is advisable not to use it continuously for more than one week. The prescribed dosage and administration should be strictly followed, especially as the effectiveness of the rhubarb component may vary between individuals. Care should be taken to avoid overlapping ingredients when taken with other herbal medications, and caution is advised when used with certain drugs due to the increased risk of side effects, thus professional consultation is recommended. Caution is required when taking potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing preparations, or specific diuretics, as these could cause myopathy or electrolyte disturbances. Patients with lipid metabolism abnormalities should monitor their blood lipid levels and adjust their dosage accordingly. When storing, keep away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place, ensuring it is kept out of reach of children. Medicines should be stored sealed in their original container, as transferring them to another container poses a risk of quality degradation or misuse.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
Do not take this medication with other laxatives. Additionally, it should not be used with other herbal formulations (especially those containing rhubarb), ephedra or ephedrine-containing products, MAO inhibitors, thyroid preparations (such as thyroxine, liothyronine), catecholamine agents (such as epinephrine, isoproterenol), xanthine derivatives (such as theophylline, diprophylline), potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing preparations, glycyrrhizin or its salts, and loop diuretics (such as furosemide, ethacrynic acid).
