Precautions
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients. Additionally, infants under 3 months of age should not take this medication. While taking this medication, do not concurrently take the drug Levodopa. Women who are undergoing treatment by a physician, are pregnant or could become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or have premature babies or young children should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If discomfort such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, skin rash or redness, nausea, vomiting, or loose stools occurs while taking this medication, stop immediately and consult a specialist. If menstrual cycles become more frequent or bleeding becomes heavier and lasts longer, this medication should also be stopped and a physician consulted. Special caution should be taken by women taking oral contraceptives containing estrogen or individuals at risk for thrombosis, as the risk of thrombosis may increase with vitamin E intake. Prolonged intake of pyridoxine over 500 mg to 2 g per day may cause nerve abnormalities, so caution is necessary. Overdosage of this medication may exacerbate peptic ulcers, cause metabolic issues with glucose, elevate uric acid levels in the blood, and result in liver damage. If accidental overdose occurs, consult a specialist immediately. Additionally, if symptoms do not improve after about one month of consistent use, discontinue use and consult a doctor. This medication must be strictly adhered to the prescribed usage and dosage, and it may cause urine to turn yellow after consumption, which can affect clinical test results. This medication must be kept out of reach of children, and should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Lastly, it is important to avoid transferring the medication to other containers to prevent misuse and maintain quality.
