Improvement in blood pressure control in essential hypertension
This medication is used to lower and control blood pressure more effectively when monotherapy with escitalopram (amlodipine) or telmisartan is insufficient for patients with essential hypertension. This helps to reduce the risk of complications from hypertension and improve cardiovascular health.
The recommended dosage for adults is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning) if possible.
Safety and efficacy for pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established, hence administration of this medication is not recommended.
This medication can pose serious risks to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Patients with allergies to any components of this drug, severely impaired liver or heart function, and those with certain heart conditions should not use it. Special caution is needed when using this medication in patients with impaired liver function, gastrointestinal diseases, decreased kidney function, and the elderly. Dizziness or a drop in blood pressure may occur during treatment, so caution is advised when driving or operating hazardous machinery. Due to the risk of increased potassium levels in the blood, those taking potassium supplements or certain diuretics should have their blood tests done frequently as directed by a physician. This medication may interact with other drugs, so it is essential to inform healthcare providers about any other medications being taken. In case of overdose, serious hypotension, dizziness, heart problems, etc. may occur, so seek appropriate medical treatment immediately by contacting a healthcare facility. Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established, and it is also advisable not to take this medication while breastfeeding. Keep this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to other containers for safety.
Dizziness, peripheral edema, upper respiratory infection, urinary tract infection, anemia, hyperkalemia, depression, insomnia, palpitations, flushing, cough, changes in bowel habits (including diarrhea and constipation), abdominal pain, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, itching, rash, hair loss, joint swelling, muscle cramps, arthralgia, myalgia, erectile dysfunction, edema, weakness, fatigue, increased liver enzymes, increased blood creatinine, weight gain, weight loss
