Summary

Main use
Relief of symptoms of osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis)
Who takes it
Adults
Adult dose
Before administering this drug, consider the potential risks and benefits of this drug and other alternative treatments. The cardiovascular risk increases as the dose and duration of exposure to this drug increase; therefore, administer it for the shortest possible duration. Because adverse reactions such as hypertension, congestive heart failure, and edema may occur during treatment with this drug, regularly reassess at least monthly whether to continue treatment based on symptom relief and the patient's response to treatment. This drug may be administered with or without food. Adults: The recommended dose is 30 mg once daily, and the daily dose must not exceed 30mg. If there is no therapeutic benefit at the recommended dose, discontinue this drug and consider an appropriate alternative treatment. Patients with hepatic impairment: No dose adjustment is necessary in patients with mild or moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh score 5-9). However, experience with this drug in patients with moderate hepatic impairment is limited, so use caution when administering it. This drug must not be administered to patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh score >9), as there is no experience with its use in these patients. Patients with renal impairment: No dose adjustment is necessary in patients with mild or moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance 30 mL/min or higher). This drug must not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance below 30 mL/min). Elderly patients: No dose adjustment is necessary in elderly patients.
