Used for the temporary relief of pain, itching, swelling, and bleeding caused by anal fissures and hemorrhoids.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Adults 15 years of age and older should apply an appropriate amount directly to the affected area 1 to 3 times a day or insert it rectally. For rectal application, insert the applicator into the tube and then into the rectum.

Children's dosage

Children under 15 years of age should apply an appropriate amount directly to the affected area 1 to 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with open sores in inflamed or infected areas. Patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, or urinary difficulties due to prostate enlargement should also avoid using this medication. Additionally, this medication is not recommended for women who are breastfeeding, as the drug can pass into breast milk and may speed up the baby's heart rate. During the use of this medication, other ointments, suppositories, antihypertensives, or antidepressants that contain specific ingredients should not be used concurrently. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as patients receiving treatment from a doctor, should consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. If redness, swelling, irritation, or signs of infection occur during the use of this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Further, if allergic reactions such as rashes or itching occur, use should be stopped immediately and professional help should be sought, as severe cases could lead to life-threatening shock. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days of use or bleeding occurs, use should be stopped immediately. If vision changes, such as blurred vision, occur, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is required. This medication should be used according to the prescribed dosage and instructions, and should be used under the supervision of an adult when used by children. As this medication is for rectal use only, it should not be applied around the eyes or used for ophthalmic purposes. As it contains corticosteroid components, there have been reports of visual impairment; therefore, if blurred vision or other visual issues occur, an ophthalmologist's care should be sought. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place. Lastly, to prevent misuse and maintain quality, do not transfer it to another container.
