Improvement of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes
This medication helps regulate blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is used in conjunction with diet and exercise therapy and can be administered alone for patients starting treatment. If blood sugar regulation is difficult with monotherapy, it can be used in combination with metformin. Additionally, if sufficient blood sugar control is not achieved with existing therapies such as sulfonylureas, metformin, thiazolidinediones, or insulin monotherapy, this medication can be combined to enhance effectiveness. If blood sugar control is still insufficient with multiple medications, this medication can be added to improve therapeutic effects. This medication enhances blood sugar control, aiding in the management of diabetes for patients.
The recommended dosage is 100 mg once daily for monotherapy or combination therapy, with a maximum daily dosage of 100 mg. It can be taken regardless of meals.
