This medication is used to treat myocardial ischemia caused by heart diseases such as hypertension, stable angina, and variant angina. It is also applicable to patients who have recently been confirmed with coronary heart disease through angiography, without heart failure and with a normal cardiac output. This medication helps reduce the risk of hospitalization due to angina and lowers the likelihood of complications related to coronary artery intervention. Overall, it improves cardiovascular health and is effective in managing heart diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken with a sufficient amount of water. Adults should take S-Amlodipine orally once daily at a dose of 2.5mg, which can be increased to a maximum of 5mg per day based on the patient's response. Adjustments should be made as appropriate depending on symptoms.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. If there is an allergy to this medication, its ingredients, or similar class of drugs, it should be avoided. Abrupt cessation of this medication can worsen symptoms, so dosages should be gradually reduced as advised by a physician, and it should not be stopped arbitrarily. It is recommended to take this medication with a sufficient amount of water, and caution should be exercised when driving or operating dangerous machinery due to the risk of dizziness from lowered blood pressure. This medication may interact with other antihypertensives, certain antibiotics, analgesics, antidepressants, grapefruit juice, etc., so if there are other medications being taken, informing medical staff is essential.
