View approved original text

This medication is used as an adjunctive therapy to lower blood triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It can be administered alone in cases of hypertriglyceridemia (Type IV) and is effective in combination with statins for patients with both hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (combined type IIb). Additionally, it helps manage blood lipid levels when used with statins in patients where triglyceride levels are not adequately controlled. This treatment contributes to improved blood fat levels, thereby lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease. Therefore, it is effectively used for regulating blood lipids in patients with hypertriglyceridemia and hypercholesterolemia.
