This medication helps improve symptoms of digestive dysfunction caused by gastroesophageal reflux and hiatal hernia, gastritis, and duodenal ulcers, such as abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, and vomiting. It also alleviates symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and spasmodic colon, enhancing intestinal health. In children, it is effective for habitual vomiting and non-infectious bowel passage disorders, such as constipation or diarrhea. This is used to comprehensively manage these symptoms and normalize the function of the digestive system.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 100-200mg of Trimebutine Maleate 3 times a day orally before meals. Adjust dosage appropriately according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose and should not be taken by individuals with genetic problems that prevent proper digestion of lactose. Rarely, gastrointestinal disturbances such as dyspepsia, constipation or diarrhea, abdominal sounds due to gas, nausea, vomiting, and dry mouth may occur during use. Additionally, symptoms such as palpitations, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headaches may also be experienced rarely. Caution is needed as liver function test results may temporarily increase. A skin rash may occur as an allergic reaction, and if this symptom appears, use should be discontinued immediately. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been sufficiently established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use it when the benefits outweigh the risks of taking it. The safety of this medication for breastfeeding women is also not clearly established, so it is best to avoid use, and if it must be taken, discontinuing breastfeeding is recommended.
