This medicine is used as an adjunct to diet to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, while raising good cholesterol, HDL cholesterol. Additionally, it helps to reduce blood cholesterol levels in patients with rare homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia when used with other treatments or when other treatments are ineffective. This medicine should be used in conjunction with appropriate diet, particularly in patients with dyslipidemia at high risk for cardiovascular disease, and it is important to confirm and treat other underlying diseases such as diabetes or hypothyroidism before use. Treatment effectiveness should be evaluated through regular blood lipid checks, and certain types of dyslipidemia have not been studied, so guidance from a specialist should be followed. This medicine helps improve the body's cholesterol balance and is used to treat dyslipidemia.
