This drug is used in conjunction with a dietary regimen to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (familial and non-familial) or mixed dyslipidemia and to increase HDL cholesterol levels. Especially for patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, it can be administered as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering therapies or used as an alternative treatment when other therapies are ineffective. This drug helps control lipid levels in patients at high risk for cardiovascular disease or with dyslipidemia, reducing the risk of complications such as atherosclerosis. Before treatment, secondary causes such as diabetes and hypothyroidism should be checked and treated if necessary. The treatment direction is determined based on lipid test results for total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides, requiring proactive management in high-risk groups. This drug is used to alleviate the risk of cardiovascular diseases caused by dyslipidemia.
