This medication is used for patients who require the combined use of Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin. Telmisartan is primarily helpful in the treatment of essential hypertension and reduction of cardiovascular disease risk. It particularly reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality due to cardiovascular diseases in patients with high-risk hypertension who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin calcium is used as an adjunct to dietary therapy in patients with hypercholesterolemia and various dyslipidemias, lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels to delay the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization in high-risk patients with cardiovascular disease risk factors. The combination of the two components is effective in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease in patients with hypertension and dyslipidemia.
