This medication is used to reduce elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, and to increase good cholesterol, HDL cholesterol levels. It can also be administered as an adjunct or alternative therapy to patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. This medication is used in conjunction with appropriate dietary measures and is helpful when diet alone or non-pharmacological measures are insufficient. It is important to treat secondary causes and continuously monitor the patient's condition through lipid tests. Therefore, this medication is effectively used to improve lipid levels associated with dyslipidemia.
