This medication helps reduce high total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia while increasing good HDL cholesterol levels. It can be used in conjunction with or as an alternative to other treatments for patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. This medication should be used together with a diet that restricts saturated fats and cholesterol and is recommended as an adjunct therapy when dietary measures alone are insufficient. It is important to check and treat other possible causes (such as diabetes and hypothyroidism) before administration. It contributes to reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases associated with dyslipidemia. This medicine is used for lipid control and improving blood lipid levels.
