This medication is used as an adjunct to dietary measures to reduce total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, Apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL-cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, while increasing HDL-cholesterol levels. It can also be administered alone in homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia patients, either in conjunction with other lipid-lowering therapies or when other treatments are ineffective. This medication should be used alongside appropriate dietary measures after comprehensive assessment of the risk factors and plays an important role in the treatment of dyslipidemia. This helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases caused by hypercholesterolemia and improve blood lipid status.
