This medicine helps lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, ApoB protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels in the blood of patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, while increasing HDL cholesterol levels. It is also used as an adjunct to other treatments for patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and may be administered alone if necessary. This drug is used in cases where dietary and non-drug treatments are insufficient and is prescribed appropriately based on the patient's condition and risk factors. It is important to identify and manage other causes of dyslipidemia before treatment, and regular blood lipid testing is required.
