This medication helps to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels while raising HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It is particularly administered to patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia in cases where other lipid-lowering therapies are used or when alternative therapies are difficult. This drug should be accompanied by appropriate diet and non-drug measures, and it is important to treat any secondary causes first. It plays a significant role in lipid control in patients at high risk of cardiovascular disease, and regular lipid testing is required before and during treatment. This process is used to improve the patient's blood lipid levels and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
