This medication is used alongside diet and exercise to help manage blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. Initially, it is used alone, but if blood sugar control is inadequate, it can be combined with metformin. Additionally, it can be added to other medications for blood sugar control, such as sulfonylureas, metformin, thiazolidinediones, and insulin, when their monotherapy or combination therapy is insufficient. This medication helps provide effective blood sugar management when used with various treatment methods. It improves blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily at a dose of 100 mg for monotherapy or combination therapy, with a maximum daily dose of 100 mg. It can be taken irrespective of meals.
