Efficacy & effects

Improvement of blood glucose control in type 2 diabetes

  • Difficulty in blood glucose control for patients with type 2 diabetes
View approved original text

This medication assists in blood glucose control for patients with type 2 diabetes and complements meal and exercise therapy. It can be used alone for patients starting diabetes treatment, and if blood glucose control is difficult with monotherapy, it can be administered in combination with metformin. It can also be added when using sulfonylureas, metformin, thiazolidinedione, or insulin as monotherapy, but blood glucose control remains inadequate. Moreover, it can be used in combination to enhance treatment efficacy if blood glucose control is still difficult with these medications. This medication is useful for improving patients' blood glucose management.
