Precautions

This medication may affect liver function, so it should not be taken if you have liver disease or elevated liver enzyme levels, and regular liver function tests should be performed during treatment. Women who are pregnant or of childbearing potential, and nursing mothers should not take this medication. Children under 10 years old and patients with certain genetic lactose metabolism disorders should also avoid this medication. Patients with a high risk of muscle disorders, such as alcoholics, those with a history of liver disease, patients with impaired kidney function, those with hypothyroidism, and the elderly, should consult a doctor before taking the medication and be monitored closely. This medication may interact with several other drugs, so if you are currently taking other medications, be sure to inform your doctor or pharmacist, especially when combined with certain antibiotics, antifungal medications, antiviral drugs, or some lipid-lowering agents.
