Esopide Tablet 40/600mg

Adult dose

This medication should be taken on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before meals. Swallow it whole with at least half a cup of water. Do not take with any beverage other than water. This medication should not be chewed or crushed. - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: Take 40/600mg once daily for 4 weeks. If symptoms persist, continue for another 4 weeks. - Maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence of esophagitis: Take 20/600mg once daily.

This medication should not be used by patients with certain allergic reactions, those taking certain antiviral medications, nursing women, or patients with severe kidney or calcium disorders. Also, patients with impaired liver function, the elderly, those with severe gastrointestinal disorders, or problems with heart or lung function should use this medication cautiously. As this drug suppresses gastric acid secretion, there may be a slight increase in the risk of gastrointestinal infections, and the risk of fractures may increase with long-term use, so caution is required. Because magnesium levels may decrease, regular blood tests are needed for long-term use, and due to multiple drug interactions, consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it with other medications. During pregnancy, safety data is limited, so it should be used cautiously under a doctor's discretion; it is advisable not to take it while breastfeeding. In the case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so appropriate treatment should be administered based on symptoms, and it should be kept out of reach of children.

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is recommended to keep it at room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees.
