This drug is used for the treatment of combined dyslipidemia in adult patients at high risk for coronary heart disease, where triglyceride levels are not adequately controlled by atorvastatin monotherapy alone. It effectively manages LDL cholesterol levels while helping to improve triglyceride levels.
How to take
Adult dose
To avoid gastrointestinal disturbances, administer 2-4 capsules once daily with meals.
Precautions
This medication may cause abnormal symptoms in muscles, so if muscle pain or weakness is severe or persistent, you must inform your doctor immediately.
Particularly, if muscle enzyme levels rise significantly, treatment should be discontinued, as serious muscle damage could lead to kidney problems.
This medication can affect liver function, so it should not be administered to those with liver disease or high liver enzyme levels.
Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should not use this medication.
Its safety has not been established for children under 18 years of age, and it should not be administered to them.
