View approved original text

Atorvastatin monotherapy effectively controls LDL cholesterol levels in adult patients at high risk for coronary artery disease. However, triglyceride levels may not be sufficiently improved with monotherapy alone. This medication particularly helps in the treatment of dyslipidemia with a focus on managing LDL cholesterol. It is used to lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases by regulating important lipid parameters in patients with mixed dyslipidemia.
