Improvement of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes
This medication helps with blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can be used in conjunction with diet and exercise, and can be administered alone or in combination with other diabetes medications to effectively control blood sugar. For example, in cases where blood sugar control is difficult, it may be used in combination with Metformin, Sulfonylureas, Insulin, or these medications. This helps improve blood sugar levels and assists in diabetes management. It is important to use this medication appropriately based on the patient's condition, and it is used to enhance blood sugar control.
The recommended dosage is 5 mg once daily. It can be taken regardless of meal times.
This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or other components. It is safe not to administer this medication to patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. When used with insulin or sulfonylureas, which can induce hypoglycemia, the risk of hypoglycemia may increase, requiring dose adjustment. This medication should be used with caution in patients with congestive heart failure. Acute pancreatitis may occur while taking this medication, so if there is persistent and severe abdominal pain, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and a physician should be consulted. A skin condition similar to bullous pemphigoid may occur, so if blisters or skin irritation appear, inform a physician immediately and discontinue the medication if necessary. Hypoglycemia symptoms may occur during treatment with this medication, so it is important to be aware of symptoms and to consult a physician if adverse reactions occur. It is recommended not to use this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding, especially for breastfeeding individuals. Usage is not recommended for children under 10 years of age, and safety and efficacy in pediatric and adolescent patients aged 10 to 17 years have not been sufficiently confirmed. Elderly patients may use this medication without special dosage adjustments, but health should be monitored closely. Patients with impaired kidney or liver function may also use this medication without special dosage adjustments, but should follow a physician's instructions based on their condition. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so measures should be taken to prevent absorption of the medication in the gastrointestinal tract, monitor symptoms, and receive treatment if necessary. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring to another container may cause accidents or deterioration in quality, so caution is necessary.
