Improvement of obesity, swelling, constipation, and symptoms associated with hypertension (palpitations, flushing, etc.)
This medication is used to improve symptoms associated with high blood pressure, such as palpitations, shoulder stiffness, and flushing, in patients with excess subcutaneous fat and constipation, along with symptoms of obesity, edema, and constipation.
Usually, adults take 2 tablets per dose 3 times daily before or between meals.
This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as the rhubarb component can cause uterine contractions and increase the risk of preterm birth or miscarriage. Additionally, breastfeeding women should not take this medication. The rhubarb component can be transmitted through breast milk and may cause diarrhea in the baby, so breastfeeding should be suspended or the medication avoided. Individuals with allergies or hypersensitivity to soybean oil, soy, peanuts, or similar substances should avoid this medication. While taking this medication, do not use other laxatives, as combining them may exacerbate side effects. Those with high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, or edema should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Elderly individuals may require dosage adjustments due to decreased bodily function. Individuals taking other medications should definitely consult a professional, and caution is advised if experiencing diarrhea or loose stools as symptoms may worsen. Individuals with weak stomachs may experience loss of appetite, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Those with weakened health or recovering from illness, as well as those who sweat excessively, should also consult before taking this medication. Individuals with a history of heart-related conditions, urination disorders, or hyperthyroidism should definitely consult a professional before taking this medication. Those who have previously experienced allergic reactions such as skin rashes or itching from medications should also exercise caution. Diabetic patients should be careful as some ingredients in this medication may raise blood sugar levels. This medication contains certain dyes, so those with allergies should take it with caution. Patients with metabolic issues or conditions such as pancreatitis or hyperlipidemia should also consult a health professional before taking this medication. If any of the following symptoms occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional: - Decreased urine output, swelling of the face and extremities, headaches, or symptoms of increased body swelling or blood pressure - Muscle weakness, spasms, or paralysis - Decreased appetite, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea - Skin rash, itching, or red spots - Insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, palpitations - Difficulty urinating - Symptoms indicating liver dysfunction, such as fatigue or yellowing of the skin and eyes Furthermore, if symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for more than one month (or one week for constipation treatment), consult a physician. Long-term use should generally be avoided, and if necessary, consulting a professional is required for prolonged use. This medication is an irritant laxative; with prolonged use, tolerance may develop, and constipation can worsen, so do not take it continuously for more than one week. Strict adherence to the indicated dosage and administration is crucial, and because the effects of rhubarb can vary from person to person, caution is essential. When using it with other herbal medicines, verify the absence of overlapping components, especially when taking medications containing rhubarb together. Concurrent use with ephedra, ephedrine, MAO inhibitors, thyroid medications, catecholamines, or xanthine-based drugs may lead to side effects such as insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid pulse, and palpitations, thus requiring dosage adjustments. Caution should also be exercised when taking it with medications containing potassium, licorice components, or certain diuretics, as this may lead to hypokalemia and muscle weakness. Patients with metabolic issues should monitor their blood lipid levels and adjust the dosage accordingly. Store this medication in a tightly sealed container to prevent air ingress, and it is safest to keep it at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C. This will maintain the drug's efficacy and prevent deterioration.
