This medication is used as an adjunct to diet for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia to lower elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol and to increase HDL cholesterol. It is particularly suitable for those at high risk of atherogenic vascular disease due to dyslipidemia, and it is important to administer it in conjunction with appropriate dietary measures. Additionally, before using this medication, secondary causes such as diabetes or hypothyroidism should be identified and treated if necessary. Drug treatment is based on lipid tests, including total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglyceride levels. This medication effectively regulates blood lipid levels in patients with dyslipidemia and helps to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
