This medication is used alongside dietary therapy to lower elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, while increasing the good cholesterol, HDL cholesterol. Specifically, this drug helps effectively control lipid levels in patients with increased risk of cardiovascular disease. However, it is not yet clear whether this drug is more effective than other lipid regulators, so prescriptions should be made considering the patient's condition and risk factors comprehensively. When treating dyslipidemia, it must always be used alongside dietary therapy, and secondary factors caused by other diseases or drugs must also be evaluated. Total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglyceride levels should be regularly tested before and during treatment to monitor effectiveness. This medication is used to treat primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia.
