Improvement of cholesterol and lipid levels in hypercholesterolemia (primary, mixed) and dyslipidemia
This medication helps reduce elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, while increasing HDL cholesterol levels. It is used as an adjunct to diet to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. This medication should be used in conjunction with dietary control, and sufficient research has not been conducted for other types of dyslipidemia. It should be used after accurately identifying the patient's risk factors and secondary causes, and the treatment plan is determined based on lipid test results. Overall, this medication helps improve blood lipid levels associated with hypercholesterolemia, promoting cardiovascular health.
This medication is administered once daily, regardless of meals. The dosage range is 10/10 mg to 10/40 mg once daily, with a recommended initial dose of 10/10 mg or 10/20 mg. If a greater reduction in LDL cholesterol is required, the dosage can be adjusted, and lipid levels should be checked after intervals of at least 2 weeks after the initiation of therapy or dosage adjustment.
