View approved original text

This medication is used in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. This drug helps to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apoprotein B, and triglyceride levels when used in conjunction with a diet. At the same time, it increases HDL cholesterol levels, which are known as good cholesterol, improving the balance of lipids in the blood. This helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and maintain healthy vascular conditions. It is an effective adjunct for overall management of dyslipidemia.
