View approved original text

This medication is used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) in adult men, particularly those aged between 18 and 41 years. Male pattern hair loss primarily occurs due to genetic predisposition and the effects of male hormones, and this drug helps to inhibit hair loss, slow the progression of baldness, and promote hair growth. With continuous use, it can improve the hair density in areas of hair loss, thereby boosting confidence. When used safely, it can effectively improve hair loss symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by pediatric patients or women. Particularly, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should avoid contact with broken pieces of the drug. Since this drug is extensively metabolized by the liver, patients with impaired liver function should use it cautiously. Additionally, patients with lipid metabolism disorders such as hyperlipidemia or diabetic dyslipidemia should also be administered with caution. If there are changes such as lumps, pain, or discharge in the breasts during treatment, the doctor should be notified immediately. This medication may cause a decrease in prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels in blood tests, which should be considered when interpreting test results.
