This medication contains two active ingredients, Candesartan Cilexetil and Rosuvastatin, and is used for patients who need to take both medications simultaneously. Candesartan Cilexetil is primarily used for the treatment of essential hypertension and is effective in patients with heart failure with impaired left ventricular function who require or are intolerant to ACE inhibitors. Meanwhile, Rosuvastatin is utilized as a dietary adjunct for the management of lipid abnormalities, including primary and mixed hypercholesterolemia, and homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. It also helps lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, slowing the progression of atherosclerosis, and assisting in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Specifically, it is used for adults with high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risks of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization. In summary, this medication is effective in treating hypertension and cholesterol-related diseases concurrently.
