This medication is used for patients who require the simultaneous administration of two drugs: candesartan cilexetil and rosuvastatin. Candesartan cilexetil is used for the treatment of essential hypertension and for heart failure patients with impaired left ventricular function, as an adjuvant therapy to ACE inhibitors or when intolerable. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunctive therapy when dietary therapy is not effective in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, and it helps slow the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it plays a role in reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular reintervention in patients at high risk of cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this medication is used to effectively improve hypertension and dyslipidemia and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
