This medication is used for patients who need to take both Candesartan Cilexetil and Rosuvastatin simultaneously. Candesartan Cilexetil is primarily used by patients with essential hypertension and is also used in patients with heart failure who have impaired left ventricular function. It serves as an adjunct therapy when treatment with ACE inhibitors is insufficient or when tolerance is poor. Rosuvastatin helps when dietary control and exercise are insufficient to manage hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. Additionally, it is used as an adjunctive treatment for patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and dysbetalipoproteinemia. Above all, this medication effectively lowers blood cholesterol levels, slows the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. Therefore, it is used to improve blood pressure and cholesterol management.
Candesartan Cilexetil 1. Essential hypertension - The initial and maintenance dose is 8–16 mg orally once daily. - After 4 weeks of treatment at 16 mg, if blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled, the dose may be increased up to 32 mg once daily. - For patients with decreased effective blood volume and those with renal impairment, the initial dose should be 4 mg. - For patients with liver impairment, the initial dose should be 2 mg once daily. 2.
