Precautions

Since this medication contains vitamin D, it is essential to carefully consider the total vitamin D intake when taking other treatments or fortified foods that also contain vitamin D. Regularly check calcium levels in the blood to ensure they do not become too high, and discontinue use if they exceed certain standards. Especially, individuals with high calcium intake should frequently monitor their blood and urine calcium levels to detect any abnormalities. When using the injection, care must be taken to prevent glass fragments from contaminating the solution, and extra caution is advised for children and the elderly. Patients with allergies to this medication or who have hypercalcemia, calcium stones, or kidney problems should not use it. It is also safer for pregnant or breastfeeding women not to take this medication. During treatment with this medication, various side effects such as headache, fatigue, muscle pain, digestive disorders, excessive thirst, increased urination, and elevated blood pressure may occur; if abnormal symptoms arise, consult a healthcare professional immediately. Regularly check blood vitamin D levels to prevent side effects from overdose, especially in patients with impaired kidney function or the elderly, who require greater caution. Since this medication may interact with other drugs, inform the healthcare professional if you are taking anticonvulsants, diuretics, antacids, or anticoagulants. In case of overdose, stop taking it immediately, reduce calcium intake, increase fluid intake, and take measures to promote diuresis. This medication should not be mixed with other drugs; use it quickly after opening and discard any remaining medication. Store in a container that protects from light and avoid exposing it to temperatures that are too hot or too cold, ideally between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
