This medication should not be administered to individuals allergic to this drug or any of its ingredients. Additionally, it should not be used in patients with specific anemias caused by vitamin B12 deficiency. It is imperative to check for vitamin B12 deficiency prior to use; otherwise, there is a risk of nerve damage. Rarely, gastrointestinal disturbances may occur with high doses, and severe diarrhea may occur when used with certain anticancer agents. Very rarely, skin rash, itching, difficulty in breathing, and severe allergic reactions may occur. Mentally, high doses may cause rare symptoms such as sleep disturbances, agitation, and depression. Before treatment, it is essential to confirm vitamin B12 deficiency through blood tests and vitamin B12 level assessments. Patients on anticonvulsants should be cautious, as this medication may exacerbate seizures when used together. High doses may have drug interactions, so consultation with a physician is necessary. Pregnant or nursing women should safely avoid using high doses exceeding 5mg per day. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as a bitter taste, decreased appetite, nausea, abdominal bloating, nightmares, agitation, and depression may occur. Additionally, caution is needed as seizures may occur more frequently when taken with anticonvulsants. This medication should not be mixed with other medications.
