Additional management treatment for hypertension and dyslipidemia (hypercholesterolemia, etc.)
This medication is used for patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia who require additional blood pressure and lipid control, particularly those taking an amlodipine/losartan combination and a rosuvastatin/ezetimibe combination. The amlodipine/losartan combination is indicated for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not controlled by monotherapy or for those with stage 2 hypertension requiring initial treatment. The rosuvastatin/ezetimibe combination effectively lowers blood cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia and is used alongside dietary changes to reduce the risk of atherosclerotic vascular diseases. This medication helps improve the risk of cardiovascular diseases by systematically managing blood pressure and lipid levels.
This medication is administered only to adults, with a recommended dosage of 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day, if possible (e.g., in the morning). The recommended dosage for the Amlodipine/Losartan combination is 1 tablet once daily, and if blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled after 2 weeks of administration, the dosage may be increased to 10/50 mg once daily. For Rosuvastatin/Ezetimibe
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if administered to pregnant women, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Blood pressure may drop sharply upon initial administration in patients with low blood volume, so in such cases, normalization of blood volume should occur before use. There is a risk of serious muscle problems, so if symptoms such as muscle pain or weakness occur, consultation with a doctor is necessary. This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to its components or those with specific liver or kidney diseases. Special precautions are necessary for the elderly, patients with impaired kidney function, or those with very low blood pressure when using this medication. This medication may affect liver and kidney function, so regular blood tests and liver function tests should be performed during treatment. To reduce the risk of muscle-related side effects, muscle test values should be monitored, and if abnormalities are found, drug use should be discontinued or adjusted. Drug interactions may occur when taken with other medications, so patients must inform their doctor or pharmacist of any other medications being taken. Care should be taken when driving or operating machinery due to potential dizziness. This medication contains lactose, so it should not be used by individuals with lactose intolerance.
