This medication is used to relieve discomfort from excessive stomach acid and symptoms such as heartburn and acid reflux.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 16 or older, take 1 tablet (10mg) once, up to 2 tablets (20mg) per day.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used by patients who are allergic to the ingredients or similar medications. This medication contains lactose, so patients with a genetic disorder that prevents the digestion of lactose should not take it. Before taking this medicine, consult a doctor or pharmacist if you have difficulty swallowing food, pain, vomit blood, or see blood in your stool. If heartburn persists for more than 3 months or is accompanied by dizziness, drowsiness, or cold sweats, consult a professional. Consult a doctor before taking this medicine if you experience chest or shoulder pain and difficulty breathing, or if you have frequent chest pain. If experiencing unexpected weight loss, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain, consult a professional before taking this medicine. Patients taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or with a history of drug allergies should consult with a professional before taking this medicine. Patients with kidney, heart, or liver issues, elderly patients, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If taking other medications such as certain antifungals or chemotherapy agents, consult a professional as this medicine may affect their efficacy. This medication contains certain colorants, so individuals allergic to these components should be cautious when taking it. If symptoms do not improve or worsen while taking, stop taking and consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately. It is safe not to continue this medication for more than 14 days. If severe side effects occur after taking, such as hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or neck, blood abnormalities, skin rashes, liver dysfunction, muscle pain, irregular heartbeats, neurological symptoms, gastrointestinal problems, kidney issues, or respiratory problems, stop taking immediately and inform a professional. This medication can mask symptoms of stomach cancer, so it should be used temporarily only for symptom relief. Patients undergoing dialysis should be careful when taking this medicine with certain medications, as it may reduce the efficacy of those drugs. Store out of reach of children, and keep in the original container with the lid tightly closed.
