Relief of swelling (inflammation, trauma)
This medication is used to relieve swelling and inflammation symptoms. It is particularly effective in reducing swelling that occurs after trauma or surgery. Therefore, it can help alleviate inflammation that occurs along with swelling.
As bromelain, take 45–90 mg per dose, 3 times a day. Take with water 30 minutes before meals.
Children aged 12 years and older should take the same dosage as adults.
This drug should not be taken by patients with severe blood coagulation disorders, such as hemophilia. Patients with severe liver diseases or kidney diseases, especially those undergoing dialysis, should also avoid using this drug. Patients taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents should be cautious when taking this medication together as it may increase the risk of bleeding. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to take this drug as its safety has not been established. Children under 12 years of age should not take this medication. This drug contains lactose; therefore, patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medication. Patients who are currently taking antibiotics, particularly tetracycline antibiotics, should consult their physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. This drug contains a pigment called Yellow No. 5, so patients with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to this ingredient should take it cautiously. If any hypersensitivity reactions or gastrointestinal symptoms like stomach pain or diarrhea occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and the patient should consult a healthcare professional. It is advisable to bring the package insert for consultation if possible. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of the reach of children, and it should remain in the original container as transferring it to another container may increase the risk of misuse or degradation of quality; thus, it should always be stored in the original container with the lid tightly closed.
