Vitamin D is particularly important during pregnancy, lactation, growth periods, and old age. A deficiency of vitamin D during these times can interfere with the development of bones and teeth. Additionally, vitamin D plays a significant role in preventing bone diseases such as rickets. Therefore, vitamin D is used to enhance the health of bones and teeth and to prevent rickets.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 1 tablet once a day.

Child dose

Children aged 8 years or older: Take 1 tablet once a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients with hypercalcemia or sarcoidosis, a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown origin. Patients with poor kidney function or those with a history of kidney stones should not take this medication. Those who have allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients, infants under 12 months of age, and individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic conditions should not take this medication. During the course of this medication, it is advised not to take other medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids together. Patients receiving treatment from a doctor, children who are exposed to a lot of sunlight, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants, and infants should definitely consult with medical personnel. Patients with heart or circulatory issues, kidney disorders, or hypoalbuminemia, as well as those taking cardiac glycosides and individuals with a history of kidney stones should also consult a specialist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rash occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult with medical personnel. Overdosing on this medication can lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, so caution is warranted. Long-term use can result in hypercalcemia or stone formation, hence regular monitoring is necessary. Caution must be taken when used in conjunction with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, as there is a risk of hyperkalemia. Strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and regimen; adult supervision is required when administering to children. It is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medication. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place in a tightly closed container. Additionally, do not transfer the medication to another container, and caution must be exercised to prevent misuse and to maintain the quality of the drug.
