This medicine is used for patients who require simultaneous administration of amlodipine/valsartan combination and rosuvastatin. First, amlodipine and valsartan are used to treat essential hypertension and are effective when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy. Rosuvastatin assists in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia and is used as an adjunct when controlled by diet and exercise alone is insufficient. It is also helpful in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and primary dysbetalipoproteinemia. This medicine is used to lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels to delay the progression of atherosclerosis and reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization procedures. Therefore, this medicine effectively improves cardiovascular disease risk by managing blood pressure and blood lipids together.
