This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure cannot be controlled adequately with either amlodipine or valsartan alone. Amlodipine and valsartan lower blood pressure, thereby reducing cardiovascular strain. Additionally, rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct for patients with hypercholesterolemia or dyslipidemia that cannot be controlled by diet and exercise, lowering blood cholesterol levels and slowing the progression of arteriosclerosis. Rosuvastatin is effective for familial hypercholesterolemia and atypical dyslipoproteinemia, helping to reduce cardiovascular disease risk. This medication is specifically used for patients who have both hypertension and hyperlipidemia, improving blood pressure and cholesterol control for cardiovascular disease prevention.
