Avoltan A Plus Tablets 5/80/20 Milligrams

Adult dose

This medication should be taken once daily with water, preferably at the same time each day, such as in the morning. The dosage of the amlodipine/valsartan combination should be prescribed as follows: 5/80 milligrams if blood pressure is not controlled with either amlodipine 5 milligrams or valsartan 80 milligrams alone, and 5/160 milligrams if blood pressure is not controlled with either amlodipine 5 milligrams or valsartan 160 milligrams alone.

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. If muscle-related abnormal symptoms appear or if muscle enzyme levels significantly increase, discontinuation of this medication is advised, as severe myopathy may lead to renal function decline. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain conditions, such as severe hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment, hereditary angioedema, or severe myopathy. In patients with hypotension or fluid depletion, their condition must be confirmed before administration, and blood pressure and fluid status should be closely monitored during treatment. Patients with high potassium levels should be very cautious when taking this medication alongside potassium-increasing medications or supplements, and serum potassium levels should be checked frequently. Due to insufficient experience with this medication in kidney transplant patients or those with renal artery stenosis, careful consideration should be taken. If symptoms of angioedema appear, this medication should be discontinued immediately, and consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary; re-administration should be avoided. In patients with heart failure or after a myocardial infarction, blood renal function and blood pressure changes must be monitored closely during administration, and caution is required during initiation or dose escalation in acute myocardial infarction patients. This medication requires dose adjustment in patients with impaired liver function, and if liver function tests or hepatitis symptoms occur, treatment should be stopped immediately. Patients should be aware that dizziness or fatigue may occur while driving or operating machinery. If symptoms such as muscle pain, muscle weakness, or fever occur while taking this medication, immediate consultation with a doctor is required, and muscle enzyme testing should be conducted to check for muscle damage. This medication may interact with other drugs; therefore, patients must inform their healthcare provider of any concomitant medications, especially when taking specific antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, diuretics, or potassium-sparing agents. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication, and women of childbearing potential should use appropriate contraceptive methods during treatment. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance should not take it. It is important to regularly monitor blood pressure, liver function, kidney function, serum potassium levels, and muscle status during therapy.

Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest discomfort, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory distress with cough + fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), profound malaise, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urinary retention
