Treatment of skin fungi and tinea (dermatophyte infections)
This medication is used to treat fungal infections caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton, including tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis, and Pityrosporum orbiculare (tinea versicolor).
Apply once or twice a day depending on the indication. Prior to application, wash the affected area thoroughly and allow it to dry completely, then apply a sufficient amount to thoroughly saturate the affected area and the surrounding skin. Treatment duration: 1. Tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea corporis: once daily for 1 week. 2. Tinea versicolor: twice daily for 1 week. Symptom relief usually occurs within 2-3 days. To prevent recurrence of infection, regular treatment with this medication should be performed for a suitable duration.
This medication contains terbinafine, which should not be used in certain patients. In particular, it is safe not to administer this medication to individuals who have had allergies or hypersensitivity reactions to terbinafine or this medication, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and nursing mothers, as well as children. When using this medication, side effects such as rash, redness, itching, irritation, and skin peeling may occur. If these symptoms appear, stop use immediately and consult a professional. If excessive irritation is felt on the skin during use, or if symptoms worsen, stop using the medication and consult a physician or pharmacist. Additionally, it is advisable not to use sealed dressings or wrapping methods without a doctor's directive. If you feel this medication is ineffective, undergo testing to confirm the presence of a fungal infection, and if necessary, use alternative therapies. The liquid form contains alcohol, so caution is advised when used on infants or mucous membrane areas. The absorption of this medication into the skin is low, so the potential for systemic effects is minimal; however, in cases of open wounds or when used over large areas, or in small children with a smaller body ratio, systemic effects may occur, so caution is necessary. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been fully established. Nursing mothers are advised to discontinue breastfeeding while using this medication, as it may be excreted in breast milk. It is recommended not to use this medication in children, as its safety and effectiveness have not been sufficiently verified. In case of accidental oral ingestion of this medication, please receive appropriate emergency treatment such as gastric lavage immediately. This medication should only be used as a topical application and should not be applied to the eyes or mucous membranes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water immediately. It is advisable not to use it on nails, the scalp, around the mouth, or the vaginal area, and caution should be taken when applying to areas of broken skin or wounds. Finally, this medication should be kept in a safe place out of the reach of children.
