Rarely, severe allergic reactions like nausea, cold sensation in limbs, and respiratory distress may occur; if such symptoms arise, use should be immediately discontinued and appropriate treatment sought. If symptoms of hypersensitivity such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face or neck appear, the administration of the drug should be stopped. Temporary stinging or discomfort in the eyes, redness, tearing, blurred vision, and eyelid swelling may occur; in severe cases, these can progress to serious eye diseases such as keratitis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome, so use should be immediately stopped if such symptoms occur. Rare side effects such as auditory impairment or taste abnormalities may also occur. Long-term use of this drug should be avoided as resistant organisms such as fungi may excessively grow; if infection symptoms do not improve, an alternative treatment should be considered. Especially in elderly patients or when used with steroids, there is a risk of inflammation or rupture of tendons such as those in the shoulder, hand, or Achilles tendon, so if there is pain or discomfort, the administration should be stopped immediately. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established; those who are breastfeeding should discontinue breastfeeding or stop using this medication. The safety and efficacy of this drug in pediatric patients have not been sufficiently confirmed, so caution is necessary during use. This medication is an eye drop solution; therefore, care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from directly contacting the eye, and it is advisable to avoid sharing to prevent infections. When storing, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store it in a cool place; do not transfer it to another container to maintain quality.
