Antibacterial skin cleansing and surgical site disinfection effect
This medication is used as an antibacterial skin cleanser. It is effective in cleaning usual skin and wounds that are not deeper than the superficial layers of the skin. It can also be safely used for personal hand sanitation. Before surgery, it disinfects the skin at the surgical site to prevent infections. It is used to maintain hygiene of the skin and hands and cleanliness of the surgical area.
Cleansing usual skin and wounds that are not deeper than the superficial layers of the skin – clean the area to be cleansed with water, and apply the minimum necessary amount to the skin or wound, gently wiping. Rinse thoroughly with water. Discard after one use. Personal hand sanitation - wet the hands with water. Use one sheet of this product and rub vigorously for 15 seconds. This medication contains chlorhexidine which exhibits antimicrobial effects on skin or mucous membranes. Individuals who have experienced allergic reactions to chlorhexidine should not use this medication. Additionally, those who are allergic to other drugs or have allergic conditions such as asthma or a family history of allergies should exercise greater caution when using this medication. Rarely, severe allergic reactions such as shock may occur while using this medication, and if symptoms such as nausea, cold sweats, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or skin reddening arise, usage should be immediately stopped and medical attention sought. Hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes or hives may also occur, thus usage should cease if such symptoms develop. This medication may react sensitively to sunlight, so it is advisable to avoid direct sunlight after use. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid using this medication. This medication is for external use only on the skin and should not be applied to areas like the mouth, eyes, or ears. If it comes into contact with the eyes, it should be promptly washed thoroughly with clean water, and if it enters the ear, rinsing with cold water should be done to prevent hearing damage. It is advisable not to use this medication on deep wounds or extensive burn areas, especially for premature infants or newborns due to higher risks of side effects. Care should be taken to avoid inhaling vapors when used over a long period or on large areas. Before use, the skin should be cleaned with soap or detergent to ensure the antimicrobial effect of the medication is not diminished. If irritation or allergic reactions persist for more than three days during usage, it is advisable to discontinue use and consult a professional. This medication is stable within an appropriate pH range, so care should be taken during storage to prevent pH from increasing too much.
