Precautions
This medicine should be used with caution in women during the first three months of pregnancy or those who may become pregnant, as administering more than 5,000 IU of vitamin A daily may increase the risk of congenital deformities. Children, especially those under six years, may experience severe toxicity if this medicine is overdosed, so it should be stored out of reach of children. Patients with hypercalcemia, kidney disease, sarcoidosis, or specific diseases should not take this medicine. Those who have allergic reactions to any components in this medicine, infants under 12 months, patients with hyperkalemia, hemoglobinuria, or kidney stones should also avoid it. It is advisable not to take this medicine concurrently with phosphate, calcium salts, certain antibiotics, antacids, or levodopa. Infants under one year of age, patients under medical treatment, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with stomach, heart, or kidney issues should definitely consult a professional before taking this medicine. If unusual symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin rash, itching, diarrhea, abdominal pain, hives, or respiratory distress occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly adhered to, and supervision by a guardian is necessary when administering to children. Adequate vitamin A can be obtained from a normal diet, so the dosage as a supplement should not exceed 5,000 IU per day. During use, it is advisable to avoid teas containing tannins such as green tea or black tea, and patients who are concerned about fat overload should have their plasma lipid levels monitored.
