Improvement of obesity and constipation
In terms of your symptoms, there is an increase in subcutaneous fat in the abdomen and constipation, along with accompanying symptoms of palpitations, shoulder stiffness, and flushing with hypertension. This medicine helps improve symptoms of obesity, swelling, and constipation; it is also used to alleviate symptoms related to hypertension.
Typically, an adult should take 2 tablets three times a day before or between meals.
This medicine should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. This is because the rhubarb component in this medicine can cause uterine contractions or congestion of pelvic organs, increasing the risk of preterm labor or miscarriage. Additionally, breastfeeding women should also avoid taking this medicine. Some components of rhubarb can be transferred through breast milk and may cause diarrhea in infants. People with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should avoid this medicine due to the lactose included in it. It is advisable not to use other laxatives while taking this medicine, as it may worsen symptoms of diarrhea or increase side effects. Patients with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, individuals with edema, the elderly, etc., must consult a specialist before taking this medicine. This medicine may exacerbate symptoms in individuals with weak gastrointestinal function, poor appetite, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, so caution is required. Furthermore, individuals in a state of post-illness weakness, those who sweat excessively, those with a history of heart disease, as well as patients with urination disorders or hyperthyroidism should also consult a specialist before use. Individuals who have previously experienced allergic reactions such as rashes, redness, or itching due to medication should exercise caution. Diabetic patients should carefully take this medicine since the component ephedra may increase blood sugar levels. If symptoms such as swelling of the face or hands and feet, increased blood pressure, muscle weakness or cramps, gastrointestinal abnormalities, skin rash, or autonomic nervous system abnormalities occur during use, stop taking the medicine immediately and consult a specialist. Medication should also be stopped and consultation sought if symptoms of liver dysfunction or urination abnormalities occur. If being taken for the treatment of constipation, consult a specialist if symptoms do not improve after a week of use. This medicine should ideally not be used for long periods; if extended use is absolutely necessary, consult a specialist beforehand. Irritant laxatives may lead to tolerance and worsen constipation if used for long periods, so it is advisable not to continue use for over a week. Be sure to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage; the purgative effect of rhubarb may vary among individuals, so caution is necessary. When taking this medicine with other herbal or natural medicines, check for overlapping constituents and be especially cautious when taking it along with preparations containing rhubarb. Taking this medicine in conjunction with ephedra, ephedrine, MAO inhibitors, thyroid preparations, catecholamines, or xanthine medications may cause side effects such as insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, and palpitations; therefore dosage control and careful use are necessary. Be cautious when using in combination with potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing preparations, loop, and thiazide diuretics as it may cause hypokalemia or myopathy. This medicine should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and out of reach of children. In addition, avoid transferring it from its original container to another container to prevent degradation of quality or risk of misuse; it must be stored in its original container.
