Relief of itching and inflammation in corticosteroid-responsive skin disorders
This medication helps alleviate itching and inflammation caused by corticosteroid-responsive skin disorders. It reduces inflammatory symptoms such as redness or swelling of the skin, improving skin condition and relieving uncomfortable symptoms for the patient. It is particularly effective for conditions such as allergies or contact dermatitis. Due to these therapeutic effects, it is used to restore skin health and improve symptoms.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area once a day and gently rub in until fully absorbed. Avoid using occlusive dressings.
This medication should not be used in patients with specific skin infections as it may worsen symptoms. Patients with hypersensitivity to this drug or those who have experienced allergic reactions in the past should not use it. In patients with otitis externa with perforation of the tympanic membrane, healing may be delayed, and therefore it should be avoided. This medication should not be used in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as it can delay skin recovery. It is also not suitable for patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea. It is advisable not to use this medication for patients with pruritus around the anus or genital area. It should not be used in infants under 2 years of age. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should use this medication with caution, and infants and the elderly should use it carefully. This medication contains propylene glycol, so patients allergic to this ingredient should be cautious. Long-term or extensive use may lead to various skin side effects such as skin infections, irritation, rashes, and itching. Particularly, the use of occlusive dressings increases the risk of infection and requires caution. Prolonged use of this medication can cause steroid-related side effects such as thinning of the skin or dilation of blood vessels. In cases of high doses or long-term use, systemic side effects such as suppression of the pituitary or adrenal function may occur, necessitating periodic examination. Care should be taken when using near the eyes, as it may increase intraocular pressure or the risk of glaucoma. This medication should not be used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, and if necessary, it should be used in conjunction with appropriate antimicrobial agents. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, discontinue use immediately. The safety of this medication for pregnant or nursing women has not been fully established, so it should only be used cautiously when necessary. Children face a greater risk of side effects due to a higher weight-to-surface area ratio, so prolonged use beyond 3 weeks should be avoided. Elderly individuals may experience side effects more easily, so careful monitoring during use is required. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be used after makeup or shaving except for treatment purposes. Do not use occlusive dressings without a physician's guidance, and clean the affected area before use. Keep this medication in a safe place out of the reach of children.
