This medication is used for patients who require simultaneous administration of telmisartan and rosuvastatin. Telmisartan is primarily beneficial for patients with essential hypertension, particularly reducing the risks of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular disease mortality in patients over 55 years old who are at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Rosuvastatin helps lower cholesterol levels when combined with dietary therapy in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, slows the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. The combination of these two medications can effectively manage hypertension and dyslipidemia, thereby comprehensively lowering the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, this medication improves the risk of cardiovascular disease through blood pressure and cholesterol management.
